Flea and Tick Prevention:
It is recommended your pet be on flea and tick preventatives prior to boarding.
Appropriate Behavior:
All guests are asked to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner. Any guests that are regarded as aggressive and/or a potential danger to staff and/or other boarders may not be permitted to remain in the hotel.
Medical Conditions:
Please inform the hotel staff of any existing medical conditions. Guests requiring medications during their stay will be charged a daily medication fee.
To comply with AAHA standards, all prescriptions must be in a container with the original prescription label as provided by the pharmacy or doctor.
Meals:
We recommend bringing your pet’s own food for the duration of their stay. If you do not provide food for your pet, we will feed them Hill’s Science Diet Adult Dry.
Bedding and Belongings:
We supply bedding for all our guests. If you would like to bring your pet’s personal bedding and/or other belongings for his/her stay, please label them and be aware we cannot guarantee the condition of the belongings upon return.
Illness/Injury:
Occasionally our guests will develop medical conditions due to the stress of a new place, eating different foods, playing, etc. Any guest showing signs of illness or injury has the option to be examined by a doctor. Treatments will be rendered at the level of care selected by you at check-in. Charges will be applied unless insurance has been purchased. Every effort will be made to contact you concerning your pet’s condition.
Romp & Play:
Our canine guests exercise 3 times daily for 15 minutes at a time. Feline guests are let out to free roam in the cat room and to enjoy our cat tree at least once a day. If your pet would enjoy additional playtime, he/she would benefit from our Romp & Play service. This optional service allows 2 additional 15 minutes of yard time (puppies less than 4 months of age are REQUIRED to have Romp & Play).
Hotel Pet Insurance:
Hotel pet insurance covers the cost of treatment needed for conditions that develop during boarding, such as vomiting, diarrhea, skin/eye irritation, etc. This will cover your pet for the duration of their stay as well as 3 days following their discharge from boarding. Hotel pet insurance does NOT cover pre-existing conditions or more complicated gastrointestinal issues (such as bloat/torsion) or orthopedic issues (such as cranial cruciate ruptures).
Spa Bath:
Dogs staying in the hotel for 3 or more nights can receive a Spa bath with a nail trim and ear cleaning for $40.00.
Daycare:
We offer daycare Monday-Friday. A daycare trial is required for all dogs that have not been to our daycare previously or have not been to daycare within the last year. Please contact the hotel to inquire about daycare availability.
Daycare Insurance is available and covers incidental events which may occur during the day that require medical attention.
In daycare, we also utilize a “3-Strike Policy” to ensure the safety of your pet. If a pet inflicts a wound on another it is considered a strike. If three strikes are obtained, that pet will no longer be able to attend daycare.
Please allow 1-hour “settle downtime” after returning home. Some of our guests are quite excited about going home and can become nauseated. (PLEASE KEEP FOOD AND WATER TO A MINIMUM DURING THIS TIME.)
While you are away please feel free to call for check-up reports for your pet(s).If you have any questions regarding our services please don’t hesitate to call.
THANK YOU FOR choosing Savannah Animal Hospital for your pet’s needs. We are always interested in hearing your comments, suggestions, or criticisms. Please call our practice manager with any concerns.
